"See you another day"

This photo was taken at Mt Lofty botanical gardens just hours before we saw my Dad for the last time. Suffering from renal failure at the age of 87, he was admitted to the Modbury hospital for the last time.

Words can be powerful but it's what Dad didn't say on that day that I will remember and in turn, pass on to my own son.

He didn't say goodbye... he simply said "see you another day".

I didn't know it at the time but this turned out to be a very special picture for me.
